Thanks for not quitting! (Patreon)

Dearest Patreons,

You might be wondering why there have not been any new Patreon exclusives of late, and whilst my own ineptitude was one reason, the underlying reason was not quite so rosey...

We received a stern email with the following sentiment and points made:

” We are not too keen on linking people to any sites besides social media off of The Platform, however we do not strictly enforce it.

· If there is a Patreon operating for a game on The Platform , we will keep an eye out to ensure it is not offering any rewards on The Platform for donations on Patreon. This is strictly forbidden.

The last part, to be strictly forbidden because mah shekels, gives you a small window into what we are actually working with here and why we 110% thank you for you devoted support to us as a creator, not just for the financial support.

Patreon isnt about the money for us. Any of the many long term supporters know this isnt true and it would be much easier for our team to churn out shitty visual novels and concept pieces that appeal to the masses if that were the case. We've been through enough shit together that whilst Im not always diligent, Im always doing what it takes to keep the company moving forward and being true to our goals artistically and professionally. This is just the latest hurdle in our long journey.

The above genuinely does not reflect a "partner" I want to be working with in 2019 and as such we are making necessary changes to ensure that we can continue to support the studio, mitigate ourselves from all our eggs being in one basket and adhere to the rules as required. 

The new PC build therefore will be the first of the builds to branch off and allow players to create a CryptidTech account that is in no way connected to The Platforms account, and thus not breaking any rules, but you will be able to import your save game from any platform Taps has ran on. We are going to be creating our own payment gateway in the next few weeks, and linking the ability to use cryptocurrency so its taking me a little longer to do, especially with the pressures of the day job and catching up with the team as they work towards new events like the Schoolgirls which is actually going great.

So yeah, apologies again. We're doing what we can!
