I LOVE castles! There’s one less than a mile from me and I visit nearly every day. My family rarely take me to see castles when we go on road trips as they know not even a team of wild horses could drag me away 😂

Just lovely, Mr. G 💜... what a sight!... I always get kinda sad thinking how things may have been, especially when trying to imagine what my desert looked like before people, but imagining what something like *this* was like *is* pretty fun! 😊... only... "goo-gone" made me chuckle a bit... there is a solvent here called Goo Gone and that immediately popped into my head (sorry! 😋)

Hey Anni, there's a beautiful and not so known Norman castle just outside of Dublin : Drimnagh castle. It has a moat and everything! It's a restoration project, and the two guides I met there are so passionate and friendly. I'll visit again the next time I'm in Dublin, that's for sure :)

Love visiting castles - castles, cathedrals/churches and palaces were always staple visiting spots when my family travelled. That little river is so serene too ... or was it a moat? 🤔 Lovely pictures and video G, thank you so much for sharing! They're great inspiration for future travelling 💜

Thanks G, and I love your tour guide videos. I do love me a castle. I've been to Dublin, but didn't really make it fast out of the city. Most of my castle visits we're in Germany. It looked like a beautiful, if windy day. I love the flowers in all of the recesses on the walls.

It's gorgeous! One of my favorite castle is Aubéry Castle.. and it's Haunted .. I always think it's cool to imagine how things were back then , how it would've been like if I were there .. as a Princess maybe?😆

Beautiful! I was lucky to have spent a month in Ireland last summer. Having a rental car enabled us to go to many places recommended by locals we met in pubs and our B&Bs. This reminded me of a morning we spent in Thomastown at Jerpoint Abbey. We had the entire place to ourselves. The feeling you get as you walk around a place like this is hard to describe. Thank you for this, G! 😊

Thanks for the tour Gael! I really appreciate all the sights you share with us. Also, I love castles, they're a fascinating glimpse into history. Might have to add that one onto the schedule for next summer. We have castle ruins a mile or so from us that I love to visit, formerly home to Lord Byron. I tried to go a few weeks back but there was a herd of cattle grazing around it, so best to leave them be.

It’s so green!!!! Which I realize sounds dumb lol but it’s also impressive how you always get clear images/footage without a million people in the way! It’s like you had it all to yourself 💜💜

I’m insanely claustrophobic and when I think “castle” I think “cold, dark, thick-walled” so I’d really love to see the outside and explore the grounds but who knows if I’d be brave enough to enter. It's very cool, despite the plethora of ruins I saw driving across Ireland it never ceased to amaze me either. Although, it kind of became a running joke . . . and off to your left, you'll see another majestic castle ruin. 😉 I'm mean, can you imagine if they'd had the money for the taxes and kept the roofs on so they were still intact? Y'all would be flush with castles. 🤓

I almost breezed right by this one but now i remember i wasnt seeing very well during this time and missed some of the beauty.. but DUDE you're a freakin ninja. The camera was just floating along and i didnt hear you actually walking until the end😳😂 Also, the quietude is amazing..I feel calmer than i did 4 minutes ago.♥🥰
