Love songs huh? I listen to this Irish guy moaning in my ear. I like to see if I can finish 2 miles before he cums.

Anonymous

Not exactly rock, but "Run Boy Run" by Woodkid is a great one for running (😂). Pretty much anything from Papa Roach, Imagine Dragon and the more upbeat songs from OneRepublic (Rich Love, Counting Stars and Love Runs Out are personal favourites). And "I Don't Wanna Be Sad" by Simple Plan because that songs cracks me up and gives me a good laugh during workouts.

AriadneAudio

I like a little punk in my rock, so I'd recommend checking out two albums. Green Day's "Revolution Radio" (fav song: "Bouncing Off the Wall") and Thursday's "War All the Time" (fav song: "Division Street"). More traditional rock, I really dig the song "Mexican Fender" by Weezer, as well as their White Album

Anonymous

Def Leppard. Pour some sugar on me. Gets me going (literally) every time.

Anonymous

All of the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros album but mostly their self-titled one. It’s full of positive energy. Might be more suited for yoga than workout / running though. 😂 For rock songs Royal Republic are amazing.

Anonymous

Metallica... Nothing else matters

V

omg, now you are speaking my language. where do I start? you better make sure you have some Foo Fighters already. I always listen to Breaking Ben (fav. songs: diary of Jane & Breathe) while working out and 10 years (song: Wasteland, I ALWAYS blast this while on the elliptical), and don't be afraid of going back to the 90s for some Toadies (songs: Away & Tyler) (TX own, of course) !!! aaaaaand never be afraid to surrender to the sexy voice that is Chris Cornell (RIP). OMG I could go on, but don't wanna bore you more as it is. hope it helps. enjoy and rock on!! 🤘

You listen to love songs when you run, how cute are you, sweetheart?😍 For good Americana rock, I like Tom Petty, "American Girl" has an incredibly uptempo beat that always puts me in a good mood, even though the lyrics are rather wistful. Also his "You Wreck Me", "Runnin' Down A Dream", he has a lot of great songs. Highly Suspect "My Name is Human" - actually the whole The Boy Who Died Wolf album is good, as is their previous album Mister Asylum. The Rubens "My Gun" is softer rock, but still a nice beat. And don't laugh, because some wouldn't exactly consider them rock, but Fall Out Boy is so nice to exercise to, I particularly like the epic orchestration of "The Phoenix". Have a good pump, sweetie!💪😍😚❤ I have to edit my comment- how could I forget Beastie Boys "Sabotage" if you're looking to get pumped? That song'll make you want to mess shit up, lol!😂 Oh yeah, and Rob Zombie "Dragula" and "Pussy Liquor"!💪🎶

Anonymous

*You shook me all night long*-AC/DC 😉 *Anything by Imagine Dragons "Believer" is one of them. * "Feel Invincible" -Skillet And for running....I suggest Maroon 5

I love Imagine Dragons!! Radioactive!!

Ms. Donovan

Haven’t seen the gym in a while but I had a lot of Linkin Park on my list - Numb and One Step Closer come to mind - but my favorite was actually their collab album with Jay-Z. Excellent beats and the full album was a good length. If we’re talking ‘hating the weights’ music, I had a whole list for that too 🤣 Bodies by Drowning Pool was at the top of that one.

Anonymous

Savage garden- I knew I loved you Christina Perri - thousands years

Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leppard -first thing to pop in my head! Hehe....

V

oh! you HAVE to have Godsmack "whatever". I can't pump without it. put it full blast.

Anonymous

K so I always liked Silverchair to get me pumped and energetic, songs like Freak, The Door, or The Greatest View... other than the obvious AC/DC or INXS songs I like The Vines, The Living End, Jet, Cold Chisel... ooh I also really get in the workout mood when I listen to stuff by Sleigh Bells, though technically they’re considered “noise pop” music haha but songs of theirs like A/B Machines, Crown on the Ground and Demons are v fun

Anonymous

Any of I Prevails songs!!

Anonymous

: ) I don’t really listen to rock but I think anything Lindsey Stirling would be great for running.

Anonymous

Wow... I like to listen to nanana of my chemical romance (that gives me so much energy!) ... Some acdc, offspring, blink182, Foo fighters (mostly, The pretender), some of 30 seconds to mars... Metallica... System... Slipknot, judas priest, kid rock, limp bizkit, alter bridge,... Hahaha The list would be infinite... Those are the bands that I like to listen to when I'm doing exercise! (and a lot more... But I'd have no space a day I'd bore you all... Hahahahah)

Anonymous

I'm gonna throw Bullet for my Valentine into the mix. The Scream Aim Fire album and The Poison album are my favourites. Also I used to run to Guillemots - Red, it has a good pace to keep up with. It would be really cool if you created a playlist that you shared with us so we know what you go for in the end!

I'll try to stay relatively mainstream because I do listen to roughly a dozen subcategories of rock, most under metal, but I just showered to Mötley Crüe's "Kickstart My Heart": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZk_i6fWn94 and now I'm hitting the door with Static-X's "Push It": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps0MfBG5-Uo. Aaand I just thought of Blondie's "Call Me" from many of us here to You. But I'll suggest a very listenable metal twist that some of our darker Lovelies might like by In This Moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUfx4ALt5SU. Edit: Holy shit, you guys have great taste.

Anonymous

I recommend to get those songs from their S&M album.. If you're on Spotify, download the entire album it's called S&M by Metallica you won't regret it and you might end up replaying the entire album over and over again..

Anonymous

Oh, and anything by The Arctic Monkeys, really. I think the whole world ought to discover them. I recommend: "Do I Wanna Know?": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpOSxM0rNPM Instant fave for me personally. I'm out cos it's already hot. PS: I love that He likes rock.

Anonymous

So many great suggestions already 🙂 Here are some ATX bands that might be new to ya - tending towards the bluesy end with lotsa guitar: Otis the Destroyer (Hatchet or Swallow), Black Pistol Fire (Speak of the Devil, Bully), Daniel Eyes (Dessert Cocaine, Sleeping with the Blues), Black Pumas (Black Moon Rising). Hope there's something in there for you...

Halsey - Young Gods, Hurricane, Bad at Love, Strangers. (Alas, my 2 favy songs by her -- Castle & Heaven in Hiding -- are likely not rock enough for your workout, but dude: Heaven in Hiding is one all the Lovelies oughta hear!) Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar on Me Billy Idol - Rebel Yell Concrete Blonde - The Sky is a Poisonous Garden (not my favy lyrics, but an outstanding beat for the gym) Live - The Distance, Sparkle, Sun. (If you haven't heard Sun by Live, you NEED to. Go listen right now & come back. I'll wait... ... ... Uh huh: that first verse especially, right? 😆) The Levelers: One Way to Live Sisters of Mercy - Dominion, This Corrosion. (I do wonder if you'd get a kick out of the lyrics to When You Don't See Me, but it doesn't have a workout beat.) Pat Benatar - Invincible, Heartbreaker Cruxshadows - Winterborn, Deception, Return (Coming Home) ThouShaltNot - Glaciers (awaken the wolves!) Europe - The Final Countdown, Rock the Night James - Laid ... I'm realizing that most of my favy music does not have what you might call a "pumping iron beat", or only does for the chorus but has slower/mellower verses. Damn. Lots of rockin' choruses or build-up-to-pounding stuff, but I left those off this list... so sorry for the slim pickings. 😳 A.F.I. - Prelude 12/21 (short, but awesome)

Belloya

Let the bodies hit the floor!!! added. Also finally some linkin park

I love working out to more techno-y beats if you're looking for something a bit different, and have been listening to Avicii a lot lately. "Waiting for Love" has some great beats to it that might lend well to pumping iron 🏋️‍♂️💪 (I'm looking forward to reading through the comments and getting introduced to some new songs too!)

Anonymous

So, it depends on my mood. Some days I love Green Day, the more angsty the better. Others, I love Metallica, especially the Black album. Some days, though, I like 90s hip hop if I'm feeling cheerful.

Belloya

(Don't be fooled by the familiar titles of some of their songs. These guys rock! From drums to electric fiddle to double-necked electric mandolin, they put so much energy & such great beats into their songs that it's impossible not to move your body.)

Alright, so I’m probably gonna make a million comments as I think of more songs, but this is right up my lil punk rock alley! I highly recommend Iggy Pop & the Stooges- that’s my fave to workout to. Raw Power is a great workout album as is Funhouse. Anything of Linkin Park. The Meteora Album is my favourite. Blink 182, the greatest hits album is the best. Then, there are a couple of Avril Lavigne songs like "skater boy", "my happy ending", "don't tell me", "losing grip", "he wasn't". Oh, and the best hits album of Limp Bizkit is 👌🏻. There are also old school songs like "immigrant song", "whole lotta love" and "babe I'm gonna leave you" by Led Zeppelin. Anything of Guns 'n' Roses. I can give some Argentinian rock songs. "Mujer amante" by Rata Blanca. "No me arrepiento de este amor", "western" and "resistiré" by Attaque 77. I hope I was able to help 😚

Kiwi or Woman by Harry Styles

Anonymous

hmm, i'd love to contribute to this but, I haven't really listened to rock since the big hair metal days in the 90's lol Everything I listen to now is like, Kpop, Steam Powered Giraffe(no really, check them out. they're a little bit weird sometimes but SO amazing and very eclectic in style and sound) and uh..Cake. Especially the Prolonging the magic album. But I do occasionally go back and listen to my old favorites by poison, warrant, motley crue, skid row. the occasional AC/DC. Big Balls *WINK* and Thunderstruck comes to mind for AC/DC.

I'm not that great with genres but Google says they count as Rock, so... :P

I love all things rock. Lately I've been listening to a lot of what I listened to in undergrad... Evans Blue, Linkin Park, Shinedown, Stone Sour, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, Burden Brothers, Evanescence, Flyleaf, etc. and then more punk rock type stuff like Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is, Hawthorne Heights, Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Blink 182.. but then you can't beat the classics - Led Zeppelin, Queen, Bowie, Metallica, etc. Tool, APC, Manson, are also solid choices. (There are soooooooooooo many good artists and I love them all lol) My Beatles or Led Zeppelin Pandora stations are my go to when I'm rocking out in surgery.

Sienna

Hmm Rock songs... I say anything from Linkin Park, Shinedown, Def lepard, Kiss, Journey, Poison, Twisted sister, ACDC, Chicago, Pink Floyd, Queen, David Bowee, Led Zeppelin, Skillet, Guns n' Roses, and starship. Thats all I got sorry *bows*

(fun fact, they are both female vocalists) Metallica have a mixture of love songs and more hardcore stuff so check them out, and now I'll just list some random rock/metal bands that come to mind: Avenged Sevenfold, Rammstein, Dream Theatre, Dimmu Borgir, Iron Maiden, Leaves Eyes, Baby Metal (trust me on this one), Band Maid, The Pretty Reckless, Tristania, Arkona, The Gathering, Fireflight, Eluveitie, Theatre of Tragedy, Unsun, Evanescence, Sirenia, Edenbridge, Epica, Pythia, Halestorm, Amberian Dawn, Delain, Nemesea, Amaranthe, Xandria, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Phantasma, Visions of Atlantis, Charlemagne (Christopher Lee was the lead vocalist), Amon Amarth, Primordial, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Opeth, Rage Against the Machine, Tenacious D, Disturbed, Architects, Munro, Deathstars, Entwine, Poisonblack, Orgy, Paradise Lost, Red, Charon, Amorphis, HIM, Icon and the Black Roses, Seduced By Suicide, Darkseed, Lake Of Tears, Tiamat, Moonspell, The foreshadowing, Type O Negative, Umbra Et Imago, The Vision Bleak, Beseech, and Lacrimosa. I'm known to have a rather "eclectic" taste in music so I put down a bunch so hopefully you'll find something you like 😅😁

Very late but... Disturbed: Indestructible, Godsmack: I Stand Alone, Korn: Coming Undone; Alone I Break; Here to Stay, Alestorm: Drink. I train in Muy Thai and these songs are on constant rotation when I hit the bag or am doing weights.

if your still looking, Shinedown works, Metallica's Ain't my Bitch and 2 x 4 are good for a one two punch if you need some oomph, Areosmith's Rag Doll is good, Billy Squire can work, especially Stroke, and Mellencamp, mainly Hurts so good, AC/DC, especially thunderstruck....

I’m super duper late to this party but I would recommend Flotsam and Jetsam “Demolition Man” (any of their stuff is good but that’s a fave of mine- they’re on the heavier rock/metal side). TFK (Thousand Foot Crutch) is another great rock band.

Well, this is definitely not a current post but I’ll add to this anyway! Another vote for HIM, NIN, Muse, and if you wanna get real wild, Cradle of Filth. All four bands are fantastic and will get you pumped up in different ways for sure. Plus I find much of their music to have some sexy and lovely undertones to them. All highly worth checking out in my book.

I know this is years old and you might not see it, but if you don’t mind rock songs that aren’t in English, check out the band LoVendoЯ. They’re a J-rock band and I love them! <3
