Gosh, so much has happened over the past month. Not least of which was a huge party at The Marlin--a Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Twin Peaks crossover costume Halloween party--on the 28th of last month, and it was the most bodies I've seen at that venue in a decade. We were at capacity for most of the night, and it turned out to be the last big party at The Marlin before yet another closing of their doors. I have a handful of pictures to share, but for now I want to show you this video of Sara and I playing Violet by Hole.

We set up some sheer curtains in front of the stage, threw a fan on them, and lit them from the front with projections and from the back with some simple halloween-store moving lights. It was certainly a ~vibe~. I have been crocheting so much just to have something to do with my hands while I process the after-effects. These parties are so much work, and we probably won't try to do another one by ourselves again. I'm hopeful that by next Halloween, we can pick up a few more collaborators to put something like this together again. Until then, we are moving slowly. Finally moving into our art studio space proper. We have a couple of gigs planned for the near future--one house show, and another down in Anchorage at the end of January. Hoping to write some more original music together in the meantime.

Pictures soon, life moves fast. I hope y'all are having a good incubative winter. My project for the next month is carving a new xmas card print to send out. All in good time.

much love my friends,

~amelia
