Preview of an upcoming progress report.

Normally i don't show works in progress, the final results are more interesting. But i think this result is an amazing enough breakthrough to warrant a video all on it's own.

This is great stuff. I think the only thing I wish there was more of was a little more explanation of the fundamentals of the reactions. What the reactions are and what it is about the molecules and conditions that informs your choices on how to proceed along a certain path. In general, not just this video. How to describe this? When I was in college I preferred my classes to have more of an exponential learning curve than a linear one. Start off low and slow to make absolutely sure I have the fundamentals down (or refreshed in my mind for a new semester), and once that's established, you can ratchet the complexity of material up pretty fast and still end up in the same place at the same time as the linear path. But since I'm more grounded, I can follow along instead of falling behind. I'm not an amateur chemist. I am a chemical engineer, but better AND for worse, we tend to much further down the line from the raw chemistry. So, it's useful to get some fundamental concepts in place and then run through your procedure. Just my gut feel. I'd have to do more thinking about specific examples of from your videos. Anyway, great work as always.

Novel idea: Two amateur chemists working together across the world to find a new pathway to effectively create sodium find unexpected bonding...between themselves. A nice love story with a good chemistry pun title. No need to quit your chemistry job to be a novelist. Just build on what you know.
