I'm going to be relocating what is currently chapter 660 to further in the story (and recontextualizing it accordingly). I don't think it's fitting to jump right into the action. A bunch of people dying because of 'mental attack' is just a number on a page unless you have wider context. For example, a thousand people probably died while I wrote this message and none of us care. I want this conflict with Gerechtigkeit to feel quite personal and intense, and armies clashing beneath the earth is hardly that. 661 is going to be the start of volume 12 henceforth.

Other news is for stories besides JAS, so you can safely ignore it if you're not interested.

There will be a DFAC chapter tomorrow, but none today. I just want to enjoy the Elden Ring DLC, if I'm honest, as it comes at the perfect time to relax after a very troubling past few weeks. Furthermore, I need to take some time to edit for Amazon and for DFAC itself.

I'll continue posting DFAC until we're at chapter 20 (maybe 30), and then I'll switch to stockpile another story-- Symbiosis. It'll feature a mercenary turned pure-blooded vampire (i.e. one with no ancestors, who's the progenitor of his own bloodline) who's ignorant of both the existence and the importance of that fact. He has to survive his new condition without mentors, exploring and growing the power of his immature vampiric blood. Pre-existing vampire clans intend to either subjugate or destroy a progenitor vampire, while mortalkind revile vampires, so it's a high-stakes game.

In time, I'll have a stockpile of both, then probably release them on RR side-by-side to see which performs better-- if they both do decently, I may work on them concurrently.
