I recall there being an emphasis on finding lost tech. So, this is probably refurbished, and they just find gas canisters wherever

It's just something to think about. If they have vehicles like this then they will need industry to produce and refine the fuel. I wonder what that would look like? Maybe biofuel like ethanol?
