With the memory of Little Black-Ears' past fading, the tribe finds themselves back in the bizarre landscape of the Forest Navel. As the Navel continues to impart its mysterious effects, Pekk has been blanking out, seemingly caught in a trance.

Meanwhile, the landscape surrounding them has begun to move about, collapsing and melting fluidly. Ekay desperately holds onto his brother, while the sergals seem to begin floating. Panic fills the air as reality appears to twist and warp around them all.
