Hello, how are you been? I'm back with a step by step! I will update this as I progress with the drawing!

After seeing the new game illustration of UR (guess it means Ultra Rare?) Tamaki, I found the twitter account where they post all official game illustrations when unlocking a new SR/UR character ingame. I was inspired by their dynamic and cool perspectives they all have and I thought "wow what if I draw something dope like this with Hatori?" "How would her game character unlock illustration looks like?" So I started to sketch a pose trying to match the cool dynamics and perspective of the other official illustrations. I scrolled trough the feed and saw that all characters are in an action pose, where they most of times attacks or uses their quirks. So I thought "I have to show off Hatoris quirk or her in action too in this pose somehow. So what would be cooler than the perspective of her reaching her hand to the screen as if she's trying to take your hand that the viewer gets the impression they are falling from somewhere high and she's trying to save them?" Hatori is a support and healer hero which also would be her function in the game itself, so when unlocking her I wanted the user to directly recognise that she's a support character!  While having gained some experiense how to draw characters in a sexy pose (check my league of legends fan arts on my deviantart 👀) Now in the MHA fandom I am trying my best to do the opposite with Hatori: showing how cool and elegant a character can be without the need to show a big butt or breasts. Because that's not what my hero academia is about. A character can be beautiful without being all about butt and boobs. I found out that there are several ways to draw poses which underlines how gorgeous a character can be without having point out some body parts. Hatori doesn't have big breasts or boobs, she has an athletic body type just like you would expect from a ballet dancer. She's very flexible which helped her not only at her ballet dancing hobby but also when she's flying. Her flexibility is what I want to show in this pose as well.

I sketched 2 poses, decided to go for the second because it fills more space of the canvas and has more movement in it! After the pose was set, I added the details such as clothes and hair/wings. The bags at her belt were covering too much of the movement of the pose at first, so I decided to make them "hanging down" the belt, figured out it also makes more sense!

The Linework was ist the most detailed part where every detail is defined and a base for the colors. Since my sketches are rough, when I do the detailed linework I recognise what looks off and change it a bit. For example I changed the finger of her hand in the distance and her eyes a bit.

After the Linework is done I just fill in the base colors. I always add the base colors everywhere before starting with shading.

One of my most favorite parts was always shading because thats when the character comes to life and gets more depth! In the official Ultra Impact illustrations they used up to 3 shading colors and one highlight color, which I also did with Hatori!

Now on the background I added the withe and yellow stripes every official art has to make my illustration look more official. Then I choosed to add a wirl of healing wind because I thought it suits her healing feathers which are dancing along it. And sparkles! They should never be forgotten when it comes to show healing effects! Aaand some glow effect on Hatori and her feathers!

That's it! Hope you enjoyed this step by step! If there are any questions don't hesitate to ask 💗
