Ep 1 (Love Set) : Tennis match represents sex in this film. IU likes her english teacher(Doona) so she doesn't want Doona to get married with her dad. That's why she looked so upset when Doona plays tennis with him. Before the match, Doona says that IU should get married with her boyfriend if she lose. She basically teased IU. IU gets really mad at that comment(Why are you saying I should get married with that man when I like YOU? kind of thing). IU fixes her makeup before the match to impress Doona, and does some sexy stretching to seduce her. As the match begins, the camera starts explicitly showcasing the bodies of the two actresses. The close-ups of their bodies and the noises signify their sex. As the game progresses, IU's knee starts bleeding, symbolizing her inexperience. While playing with Doona, IU also recalls her father's matches, hinting at her growth by imitating what she has observed. With each match IU's skills improve, representing her maturation in love or sex. The outcome of the game results in IU's complete defeat. "Love set" is a tennis term indicating a situation where one side fails to score a single point and loses completely. In the final scene, Doona caresses IU's fingers while saying "I won't marry your dad", implying that Doona also has feelings for IU and that their relationship will take a positive turn.
