The external climax sequence is just about finished, and that means that the whole scene is pretty much functionally complete as well! Obviously there's still more to do for the scene, such as adding a background, extra features, UI, and so on, but at its core the scene is fully playable from beginning to end.

As demonstrated in the preview video, both the external and internal climax can stack on top of each other, and the end result of both can be quite messy!

With all of the functional aspects of the scene done, my next step is to design a background that establishes the atmosphere of the game. Once the background art is done, I plan to move forward on opening up access to early testing for certain tiers. I know it was pretty much forever ago when I said I was going to do that, but I was never able to convince myself that the game was ready for it. Now that the first scene is nearly done I'm getting more comfortable with the idea of letting some of you play the work-in-progress. I'll share more details on it when we're closer to that point.
