I've been pretty tied-up this past week and haven't been able to focus on the climax sequence as much I'd have liked. Fortunately, I did take advantage of some of the free time I had to work on the ambient audio experience for the Ashe game and decided it wouldn't hurt to share it.

I'm no sound designer, but I did take a crack at mixing the ambient audio myself. The game takes place in a sort of seedy Deadlock Gang bar located somewhere near Route 66; however, I didn't want the bar ambience to include any voices. Instead, the ambience is backed primarily by the hum of neon bar signs and the creaking of an old ceiling fan, plus the wind of the desert outside. Additionally, there are a bunch of intermittent sounds of bottles, billiards, and distant motorcycles, as well as the occasional snake hiss or hawk cry.

The music is mostly an homage to the Starcraft 2 jukebox, which I've edited to sound like it's coming from the back of the bar. I do plan on including an actual jukebox in the background of every scene which, when clicked, will allow you to switch songs and possibly even look for extra hidden songs in the background of each scene.

I still am aiming to at least finish the internal climax sequence before the end of the month, and as soon October rolls around I'm going to temporarily switch gears to work on a Halloween-themed animation since I wasn't able to make one last year.
