Feros decided to took Tanis on another "hunting-date" where they would go out to the wild and adventure together. This time he picked an abandoned mine he once came across, knowing Tanis loves minerals. Alas, the mine seemed to be empty, adventurers and goblins before them gutted it completely - until something caught Tanis' attention, behind a crack on the wall, on a small delve, she saw a fine ore resting beneath the stone. The hole was big enough for her to press herself through but was not enough for Feros, so he stayed outside and watched her progress through the crack.
The echo of Tanis's strikes felt uncomfortably loud in the empty mine, and it caught the attention of some Goblins living in the lower regions. Before they could leave they swarmed the small delve Tanis was mining in and they attacked her for disturbing their territory, and, for the vein of ore.
Feros desperately tried to widen the crack so he can stuff himself through and help her but he had no tools to do it, he had one of the worst moments of his life- helplessly watching Tanis hurt.
In the end she was able to fight off the goblins, but she barely made it and collapsed against wall. Feros pulled her out and carried her on his arms.
The mineral wasn't the only treasure the goblins almost took that day...

Addition to the story how Feros gonna wrap around and cuddle Tanis protectively like a dragon for the rest of the week XD
