Not that I knew that I was going to be away for this long but anyway...

I've been working on a new giant printer build for the past three months and this is the video of the first part.

I started this build because lots of people asked for the files of the previous giant printer but, as often happens, the design ended up being a bit of a mess so I've taken the time to design it again from scratch making sure the design is good enough to be released just in case anyone is as crazy as I am and wants to build one.

All the 3D printed parts fit on a 200x200 build surface and the design is parametric so, between reason, any size can be built. With this in mind I got a new 3D printer bed heating system that I'll show in the next video where I use floor heating wire which allows for any bed shape to be heated quite easily.

Oh, and of course, while I was at it, I made it bigger. This one has a print volume of 1110x1110x2000 (X,Y,Z).

My idea with this printer was to show it off by printing myself at 1:1 scale but I found out that when extruder and hotend manufacturers talk about High Flow! and Ultra High Flow!!! they are thinking about tiny printers, so I may need to also design and build my own real High Flow hotend and extruder. We'll get to that shortly as the second video is almost entirely recorded and the printer works but I want to make a massive me first.

I truly appreciate your patience as I've been working on this for three months and seeing you all hold on there for me does make a difference.

Thanks everyone!!!

Every time you pop up with a build I'm blown away. This is amazing.

This new build is amazing! A lot of people go BIG in all axis, but I like one of the concept renders of a long/wide but squat printer as there are lots of this that are large items but not necessarily tall. I love seeing new videos pop up in my feed! Please keep them coming!
