Hi everyone!

When I started this project somehow I was absolutely sure that it was going to take just a week, how I did think that is a mystery to me. The first two weeks I spent entirely machining the parts (mostly learning how to do it). The motivation to make this printer was twofold, on one side I wanted a solid and reliable machine that I could repair and upgrade and also wanted a project that gave me room to hon my machining skills. I can confidently say that both goals have been achieved. Even as I recognise that the printer can already be improved is a great machine and works incredibly well. I also am now capable of machining any part that I want with a decent repeatability.

The CNC worked great but I have again found it's limits, anything thicker than 10mm alu is a pain to cut because the machine flexes too much and the walls aren't straight and chatter messes up the sides finish. I'm gonna do a few upgrades on that CNC soon for sure because it has proven to be a great addition to the shop.

As you may notice on the video, I installed an SKR 1.4 turbo from BigTreeTech at first with it's nice touch screen but when I got to the point of having to change the firmware it seemed too messy and complicated and it would have taken another couple of weeks to do a decent work with that for sure so I decided to go back to the reliable Ramps 1.4 and I have no complaints whatsoever. As a consequence I removed one of the Z endstops, no issues there.

Mid project I found larger lead-screws and of course I had to make it bigger, I was sure that I was going to have people complaining in the comments about my free rolling bed design when printing tall things and again, no issues there.

The bed itself is a bit on the heavy side and would probably benefit for an extra motor or at least an extra belt to reduce ghosting but you know me, my stronghold is not making pretty prints.

The hotend is what I hope is an authentic E3D Volcano hotend (too many lose parts on my bins) and the extruder is a fake Bondtech extruder (I'm positive that it is fake) because I couldn't get my hands on an authentic one on time.

As always let me know your thoughts down below and THANKS!!!!

Dear Mr. Ivan, where can I buy the plans for this printer? I did not find them on your site.
