Hi everyone!

This small video is an update of my trials to make an RC car drive upside down. The car I'm trying to use is a much larger one but I had to scale it down to this one because something was of and I couldn't figure what was it. This little one with the two propellers and 6S batteries pushes down (up) with three kg of force and the big one will have at least four so we should be in the clear.

The 3S test barely gave enough thrust to keep it up so it had almost no grip, it was uncontrollable.

I substituted the car 4 AA batteries for a DC DC converter to save weight and that same converter is powering the receiver for the props. That had a aide effect, on the 6S test the props had so much push that the car motor couldn't move it and the motor stalled drawing so much current from the DC DC converter that it shut off bringing down the receiver with it, hence the car falling from the table.

Next, try the same on a real ceiling with an 80 km an hour 4kg car full of madly spinning blades 😅.

As always leave your thoughts in the comments, thanks!!

Just watched the video and the driving on the wall bit where you said you've just painted reminded of this robot I keep seeing advertised. It looks like it used to ropes up to the top corners of the wall and then moves around a draws a picture on to the wall. Combine some project ideas and a RC fan suction wall drawing pen machine comes to mind.
