Hi everyone!

This week I tried to make a boat with the waterjet engine, I added a steering nozzle and a reversing cup and I think we have a proper steering and reversing concept, as always there are a few mishaps proper of the first iteration but we have a solid concept here.

The next test will be with a boat and two waterjet engines while I do a redesign of this one as  that's a job bigger than it might seem. The two engine waterjet will use differential steering which will avoid the weight of the steering and reversing mechanism and will give us the best chance of getting a lot of speed.

Please let me know your thoughts in the comments!

WATERJET ENGINE TEST

This week I built a boat with the waterjet engine and added a steering nozzle and a reversing cup. At first it seemed like a lot to add in one iteration but as always, failure comes from the unexpected. I still had a lot of fun with this one even as I had to mop the floor several times during testing. Let me know your thoughts in the comments! Maybe a knife edge into a c-shaped channel where the gasket material is, then some sort of clamping force to push it together. That's how the water tight doors work on the Naval ships

Hoping you're going to build a hydrofoil also, but that will be hard to test in the workshop! Suggest making the nozzle a bit longer next time
