So please don't be mad at me when you see it ;-)

This is just a copper backing for the mirror that will help (marginally) with the heat spreading as I won't have an aluminium plate between the heatpads and the printing surface (the mirror).

So one of the perks is to not think that I'll install a golden surface to my printer...

Thanks everyone!!

Are you not afraid that the glass will break? What happened to me is - I used heating pads under aluminum plate (4mm thick) and on top was a mirror from IKEA. One nice day when I left it printing at 65deg. the aluminum bended so much that it actually broke the mirror in half :(

The sandwich from top to bottom right now is: Mirror Copper tape (very thin, almost symbolic, it was very cheap, it might not even be copper, I'll have to check, insert facepalm here...) Heat pad Cork 5mm Cork 5mm Cork 5mm Aluminum plate 6mm If I try to heat up the mirror too fast it might break but there is no solid metal in contact with the mirror that could bend it... And I've been printing on a mirror like this on my 400x400 for almost a year now without incidents so I'm veru sure that if it breaks I'll be very surprised ;-( Thanks mate!
