Game Recommendation: Pale Carnations! (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

I want to share with you guys one of my favorite games in this genre, Pale Carnations!

Made by the duo TD and Gil, PC is thematically as far from OoT as you can possibly get without making a snuff film.

Yet the reason I adore this project is because of the mature, believable writing and fantastic art that pushes the very boundaries of what Honey Select 1 can accomplish.

TD is a genuinely talented writer who deserves far more recognition than he’s gotten and his ability to create realistically flawed yet interesting characters is more akin to what you’d find in serious novels rather than a western VN.

Gil needs almost no introduction, he’s a long-time veteran of the HS1 community and knows the ins and outs of that engine so well that the art in PC easily overshadows the renders of most HS2 games, let alone games using HS1.

These two guys are great, and I would really appreciate it if you could give them and their game a try!

But don’t just take my word for it, PC is consistently in the top 3 highest rated games on F95 for a very good reason.
