Hey guys!

I hope everyone's doing well despite the current situation in the world, wherever you may be.

Writing an upbeat intro when so many people are worried about much, much bigger issues than a Unity eroge seems a little tone deaf, so I'll just say some words that have been close to my heart and only seem more relevant this week:

No man has ever chosen the times in which he was born, all we can do is decide what to do with the time we're given.

Now with that being said, let's get into what's happening with OoT.

The Chapter 30 public release will be out on March 8th, just a few days from now. The next update after will be out for Patrons & Subscribers on either March 31st or April 2nd as releasing on April 1 would probably be a little silly.

As of right now, the April update will contain the second side arc stories for Victoria, Leah, Ashley, Teresa and Sarah as well as the introduction of a few more side stories to go with them (Some of these will be retroactively available in Vol 2 as well). The specifics will be nailed down as we get closer to the end of the month, but it'll be a pretty sizable update nonetheless.

As far as Android goes, we finally have some more details to share about what we've got! Snow has been working hard to figure out a way that we can natively get around the 2gb .apk limit on Android, and we think we've got a good solution now.

Normally games can get around this with Joiplay but that's an emulator that we don't have access to nor do we want to be dependent on yet another 3rd party program.

For normal Android apps this isn't an issue because you can have users download additional data from the Google Play store, but as we're an adult game we clearly don't have that option.

Instead, what we're going to do is have a base Out of Touch.apk that contains the first Volume and for the rest of the content, you'll download supplement .apks that will install the subsequent Volumes and content into your game. Once you do that, you can delete those .apks off your device and just leave the base Out of Touch.apk. Easy!

With this method, there should be a nearly 1:1 experience on Android as with the PC version (With some slight UI changes to make using it on phones easier).

But don't take my word from it, here's Snow and his checklist for how this process will work:

So the current plan for how Android installation will work is as follows:
1. You will first need to install the OoT Android app which should actually be pretty small. This will be the actual game and will always be the APK you use to play.
2. We will then put out asset installer APKs which will contain the game's various components and future updates. You will need to download and install each of these.
3. You will then need to run each of the installer APKs one at a time *in order* so that the correct assets install and are updated properly.
4. New updates should just involve one new installer APK to install the assets for the new update. This *should* mean updates will be small and easy to work with for Android users and the main hurdle is the initial installation.
5. The installer APKs do not need to be kept if not desired, but keep in mind that if you wish to uninstall the game later, simply removing the APKs will not free up much memory on your device as the assets will be in public folders. You will either need to use the installer APKs to remove the assets in reverse order, or you will need to manually go into your device's file system to delete them manually.
I will try to keep an up to date list of what needs to be installed and in what order, but in the event that I do not update it, the order in which they release will be the order in which they must be installed and run. The installer APKs will be very straightforward with a big ass button to install and uninstall and a very basic display of what the current status is. Because of how this all needs to work, it's going to take me some time to set up and test but it is making decent progress as I slowly learn more about how Android OS and APKs work.

Other than that, that's about all I have for you this time. As always, if you ever have any questions or concerns my DMs are open to anyone on all platforms.

And no matter where you are in the world, stay safe. Your life matters, each and every one of you.

Sincerely,

Story Anon
