Lets try this again.

Now that the movies have made us experts on the source material, lets see if they get it right in Percy Jackson and the Olympians! This Disney+ series apparently has the author of the books on board, so Micah & I are hopeful we’ll finally understand why everyone is so dang passionate about this demigod.

Caught me off guard to hear the shout out to where I work, the Saint Louis Zoo, the biggest free zoo in the country. But I appreciate the love for the city!

thank god i'm not the only one who felt deeply uncomfortable with that "just breathe mommy" line reading

I swear to god if it takes over two weeks for the next eps to come out, I’ll have an aneurism

I've been looking forward to you watching this episode ever since you said how much you love St. Louis!! Fun fact, when Rick wrote The Lightning Theif like 20 years ago, he thought the St Louis arch ran OVER the river, so in the book Percy jumps out of the arch hoping that the water will save him. Since then, Rick has obviously learned that his geography was very incorrect, so every one has been super excited to see how they were going to do this scene in the show! I loved it honestly. So glad you guys are genuinely enjoying the show, can't wait for the rest of the tracks!

Charlie

Fun fact, in the book it's described that Percy falls from the arch and lands directly in the water, rather than the water reaching out and grabbing him like it does in the show. Readers who'd been to the Arch asked Rick how Percy made a 600ft jump, and his response was that he'd never actually seen the Arch before so when he was writing the scene he just assumed the river ran under it.

Kayden

If I understood him correctly, He said we'll have all 8 episodes when the finale drops in 4 days. So I assume we are getting episodes 5 and 6 in 3 days and the final 2 the very next day

fun fact they didn't have to add much makeup to Walker Scobell (Percy) to make him look sick like that. that's just his natural complextion😂

As soon as you saw the arch in the end credits of episode one and got excited Eric I knew you would love this episode!

Olivia Kurima

I actually visited St. Louis for the first time about a year ago for a conference and my only reference for the city was from Percy Jackson. As a St. Louis enjoyer have you been to the City Musuem?

Emily

This show is adorable so far and so much fun! Love these tracks!! cant wait for the next!

Krista

The idea of you playing the social network in your head to fall asleep but instead getting through the entire movie is hilarious

Watching this show actually makes me super jealous of the people who had these books as apart of their childhood. I don't know jack shit about this and I'm enjoying it a lot! So its pretty pretty fucking sick if you're a fan of this.

Truly watched this episode with you guys two times this week. Eric’s strange love and obsession for St.Louis truly brought me the same amount of joy, and I have never even been there. I was stressed out yesterday so I threw this back on and the pure joy your face took me right out of my funk. Can’t wait for the next episodes tonight!

Its likely most of the reveals are so dramatic because they missed all of this in the book, and these reveals are so exciting to book viewers
