Another year, another post-apocalyptic HBO series about a man forced to look after a young girl...

I'm not a gamer, but even I know that The Last of Us is regarded as one of the best games of all time. Now that it's been adapted into a television series, I figured this was my chance to discover what all the hype was about!

Having watched it... I'm still not sure.

I'm sure it's a great game, but this series feels a bit too similar to other movies, shows, and even games that I kiiinda liked more. Station Eleven, anyone?!

That said, one episode in particular absolutely destroyed me. You may or may not be able to guess which.

My name is very fucking Tom Cruised!

Okay wtf. You mentioned hoof restoration in the previous episode. Just hopped on YouTube and low and behold, hoof restoration pops up. Never once have a look up anything remotely related to that. I know your phone listens to you etc etc, but I had my headphones on while listening to you on the computer. Unless it's like a browser thing? fuck.

Katie Holmes

ellie mentions in episode 2 to tess that she was bitten in the mall but she says she was alone in a very "i was not actually alone" way so everyone kinda already knows at the beginning of the episode that they're gonna get bit and then i guess because ellie says shes killed someone before we can assume that that person was riley and i'm glad we don't see it (at least in that episode or the next who knows whats gonna happen in the finale) bc we've been traumatized enough lmao

OhMGee it's Katie Holmes, I bet watching the MI series was hard for you.

I'm actually currently in hair school, however, we don't call the services we do apprentice services where I am, cuz I'm my state you can either apprentice in an already established salon or go to hair school

Holly Hillcar

You're absolutely right about the storytelling btw. This episode isn't actually in the first game, it's a DLC called "The Last of Us: Left Behind" (hence the name of the episode) In the game we make another time jump from the point where Joel is stabbed straight to the beginning of episode 8.

You recognize Riley from Euphoria, she plays Rue's sister
