Taron Egerton and Richard Jewell star in this Apple TV+ series that caught my attention because I saw it described as "Mindhunter season 3" and since we will never get that, hopefully Black Bird will suffice.

OKAY so i was also a carter/mob guy storyline hater since it all simply went away (carter gets paid off by mob guy which makes jimmy in mob guy's debt i guess?? and then mob guy also finds out he's a snitch so jimmy loses his protection) but now that i've thought about it i think it just lends into the urgency that jimmy had to get a confession which maybe leads him to preemptively tell off larry before actually getting any evidence because if he had maybe waited a day to go off on him he could have secured the map or told someone about it...so i think it's kinda granted that he had issues outside of his talks with larry to just make him want to get the hell out of there. i read up on the real case and the real jimmy mentions he wish he waited before going off on him because he never actually got the map. i also think the detective has an so-so reaction to the map because she was just dealing with the bike nonsense so she can already see how this map from the memory of another inmate with no evidence of an actual map might not even be usable in court whereas jimmy thinks he's found them all the bodies. although her reaction to the clothes thing could have been better but that actress was doing something different with that character episode to episode lol. also i couldn't help but laugh at you immediately thinking gary was going to be revealed as a second guy in the crime as a plot twist like nope! not a plot twist! i think the second guy you're talking about is bc larry mentioned a guy showed up and it was that one guy who saw larry's van in the first episode that described it as gray/brown but knew it was a dodge. he spotted larry which made larry run off. anyways I LOVED IT! I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! I LOVED THAT IT WAS 6 HOURS! the music deserves an emmy as do taron, paul, and ray...i WILL get their emmys.

i get the want for show twists but in reality it’s telling a true story for the most part from what i know and the reality is the side stories of what went on in prison probably didn’t lead to some final big twist in a finale because of the fact that it’s a real story

i so badly wanted jimmy to tell them about the map being sent to gary because the FBI totally could’ve intercepted the package or, at the very least, get a warrant since there was probable cause

So the guy who plays the prison guard seems like an unknown. This is showing up as his only credit. I think he just looks familiar bc he has one of them faces
