Say this five times fast: The Horny Man Watched Bridgerton In His Van

Statistically speaking you've already watched this, because according to my research... Bridgerton is the current most popular series on Netflix. For REAL this time!

And rightly so, because boy is it H*T. And British!

Will this tricky little love story play out as expected? Doubt it!

#TEAMDUKE a lot happened in this episode omgggg. Daphne is a rapist like that whole storyline is just horrifying considering it was in the books as well (the author is notorious for involving rape/coercion into every bridgerton book). one of my biggest problems with this season was how they think lying is comparable to rape in any way shape or form like what?!? and you’re so right Eric, the outcome is still the same you’re not having kids Daphne soooo 😭. first she traps Simon into a marriage and then with sex like she’s awful ?!?? also penelope is pathetic and wonders why no one likes her like damn don’t you see how you act!!!

100% agree with this it's crazy how overlooked Daphne's actions have been. If roles were reversed Simon would be so scrutinized and hated by the fandom but since it was Daphne no one made a peep. I'm glad Eric called that shit out because watching it for the first time genuinely made me so angry and even more angry a second time! Daphne is truly the worst character this season after Penelope's trifling ass

No everyone was very angry at Daphne for this. it was sexual assult. no question. He was wrong for not explaining the whole kid thing. I would never not marry someone because they CAN'T have kids but if I wanted kids and my partner was very set on not having them then that's something I would have to consider before marrying them. In this time all women had to look forward to was motherhood. Regardless what Daphne did was so wrong and everyone I've seen talk about it thinks the same as you.

Not gonna lie, I kept telling myself I wasn't interested in watching this show, but once Eric posted the first two episodes, I ended up binging the first season lmaooo look...this show is HOT and I seriously can't wait to see Eric's reaction to the season finale and I'm actually resisting watching the second season since I know it might be a while for those tracks haha

I absolutely appreciated 'The Green Ribbon' reference Eric!! Although I think we can safely say that Daphne isn't without head... 👀

I was on Daphne's side of being upset that he didn't really tell her the reason for not wanting kids rather than being physically incapable of having kids right up until she decided to assault him rather than just confronting him about it. Then I'm right over to the Duke's side. As for Penelope, I get her POV since she's in love with Colin (even if he was just her friend), I wouldn't blame her for wanting him to know about the baby. If I were Colin I would be pissed if I didn't know before I got married. But I also get where Marina's coming from -- she needs to get married and there's no guarantee that he would stay if she told him.

Daphne 100% sexually assaulted the duke. I watched this show when it first came out and I was GOBSMACKED at the lack of even bullshit buzzfeed articles or twitter threads talking about this. #TEAMDUKE

I think it's fair for her to be upset since they were basically forced in to marriage due to them kissing in the garden which is why her brother had to dual him. If she knew it was a chose maybe she wouldn't have although still that one girl saw them I the garden. It's a different time where children were super important to have. Also her knowledge of sex before she got married was less than that of a middle schooler.

Penelope is so down bad it turned her into a right little gremlin, you hate to see it. I guess the phrase bros before hoes meant nothing in the 19th century.

i think what daphne did was awful and i wish the show had done it in a different way because i do also understand her being upset about being misled and also her not knowing about sex but the way they did it was so nasty because it glossed over it in favor of her feelings (which are valid don't get me wrong) but it should NEVER have been done that way

Brooke

its so annoying because is daphne valid in her feelings? yeah for sure!!! is she also horribly wrong for what she did? also 100%!!! is there also the fact that she's clueless in the sex department? also 100%! (not an excuse of course it's just why it makes it so complicated)
