Ayyyy where all my League of Legends fans at?!

Alright, what the hell is Arcane? It's like a video game show or some shit?

I'm going into this as blind as humanly possible, and I better be impressed because supposedly it unseated Squid Game as the most popular Netflix series...

Are the reviews correct? Is this show THAT good? Lets find out... together :')

I really really wish he would watch Mortal Kombat 1995 and Resident Evil 2001 and go in to it knowing and loving them for how cheezy they are and how much fun they are! Lol

I cannot wait to see your reaction to Season 2 later this year. I wanted to give some details on things that you may or may not know still even after three years of watching. League does and has had lore for many many years, but it was pretty minimal. It wasn't until their other game Legends of Runeterra came out that ended up fleshing out more and more lore. Season 2 will not be the final season but it will be for the main story focusing on Jinx and Vi. There are 168 champions in the game and up to 12 countries in this world to explore. So after season 2 they'll dive into other regions and people, with the possibility of characters from season 1/2 to show up later, it just wont focus on these characters anymore. so glad you enjoyed it, see you in November!!

I like how you mentioned how you kept expecting Vander to show up again. Allow me to direct you to the shot at around 36:14

So the scene with Silco at the statue, the statue was of Vander, and he was talking to it saying that Silco had finally achieved their goal of getting independence. But he couldn't bring himself to accept Jayce's terms because of his love for Jinx who he sees and his daughter, which shows us that Silco finally understands why Vander had abandoned the cause. Vander abandoned the goal of independence to look after Vi and Powder.

Also in terms of a release window for Season 2. One of the higher ups at the studio said that it will not release in 2022 so everyone is expecting a 2023 release. Season 1 took 6 years to make but they assured that there definitely wont be as long of a wait for Season 2.

I would maybe delete this just in case honestly, I don’t think Eric’ll want to know hints to lore stuff outside of the show.

In the wide shot of silco sitting at that vander statue, you can see jinx already standing behind it. no one notices bc it just looks like a part of the statue :P

when i first watched jinx's "tea party" scene, I was reminded by what you said in your final destination track, "the best scene in a final destination movie is three people sitting at a table", and i was like "this is tense and they're around a table, we don't need some crazy cool fight scene to be the climax of this show, this is perfect"

Have you guys also noticed that as Viktor becomes more metallic, the hex-core is becoming more organic? That is so cool.

Okay the reason Mel's mother is introduced is probably to set up another series (Riot confirmed Arcane and other shows based on Runeterra's lore league of legends could air at the same time) so the other show will probably be placed in Noxus which is one of the 12 "Countries" in the lore

I'd definitely recommend a second watch for this show, especially since you watched them a week apart, it's easy to miss aspects from each act that carry over into the others.

I hope you're making a highlight vid of these tracks! I'd love to rewatch this commentary without having to watch 9 whole episodes (I'll do it tho)
