I really don't get why Margot jumped through her window basically. What was the point of that? I hate the whole "I'm a psycho so I do crazy things", as an excuse to kill.

I think she picked Margot because Dylan doing it put a neater bow on her cover story than Margot doing it. Also, she probably hedged that Margot would love her and cover for her if she didn't turn her in.
