Commentary | Kick-Ass 2 (Patreon)

Eh, why not?

In case this wasn't already made abundantly clear, Kick-Ass is one of the most fun and exciting movies I've ever seen and it makes me cry every time I watch it.

The same can't be said for Kick-Ass 2, even if I do think of it as a vague Cry_Wolf reunion...

This sequel literally only has one thing going for it. What it lacks in heart, energy, laughs, tone, pacing, and pretty much everything else, it makes up for with Jim Carrey. In fact, he's so good that he actually makes the rest of the movie even worse. Why is he giving it his all when nobody else is? How did they get him to sign on for this?

And did you even realize that was Jim Carrey until now? Because I know lots of people still can't recognize him!

If you haven't already watched Kick-Ass with my commentary track, I recommend watching these in reverse order so you can end on a high note.
