Warning: Do not eat while watching this movie. Trust me. I learned the hard way...

We're movin right along through this quarantine with a very highly requested movie: Spanish sci-fi drama/thriller The Platform! Is this the first non-English PMI track? I honestly can't recall... but it might be! (Btw if you hate subtitles, Netflix does offer an English dub.)

This movie feels very familiar, but it's also shockingly brutal in some spots. There's one part that I will never be able to wipe from my memory... you'll know when you see it. Goodness.

Wow, really glad I got to watch that "with someone" because I was curious about the concept but I don't think I would've pushed through the gross-ness by myself. If they do an American remake it should be a show. Kinda like Lost but...with more answers. Lol

I didn't love the ending but this theory made me feel better about it: there is no girl, the pana cotta is what is sent up but the message is lost because there's a hair in it. The chef thinks the people in the pit didn't eat it because of the hair (remember he was holding it up against dark haired cooks)

(spoilers) I really enjoyed the film. I don't know why the girl was there if under 16s aren't allowed but I think the Mum knew where she was and was killing people so enough food was there at the bottom. Maybe she left the girl alone on the last floor to keep her safe too.

(Spoilers) Personally i have 2 theory’s the first one is that she had the child in the platform and refused to leave until she reunited (thats the one i dont think is as strong) the second theory i have is that like Ramseys the second she was the one item she brought in, (the ramseys lady says she brought in a ukulele but on one of the later platforms u see an asian lady with a ukulele that she may have confused her for and the fact that she was wrong about the kid entirely makes me think this is more likely. (She didn’t say she couldn’t bring a kid she just said she didn’t bring a kid)

The ending would've been perfect if it just cuts to the top level and there are a couple of those worker people looking at the little girl confused. I would've loved that ending, as it stands I do enjoy it. I just wish it ended a little differently.
