Hey all you cool cats and kittens!

You can't make it through a single day of quarantine without hearing about Tiger King, the new Netflix docuseries centered around zoo-owner / country singer Joe Exotic and his colorful cast of friends and enemies.

After countless recommendations, I finally binged it in my van - only taking a break to hide from a tornado (true story!) - and I decided to record commentary tracks especially for those of you who are like me and enjoy working out true crime mysteries aloud.

hey eric! just thought i'd let you know that the difference between Carole and the rest of the private zoo owners is that she rescues the cats while they breed them. once animals have been bred in captivity (big cats in this case) it's almost impossible to introduce back into their natural habitat. So basically what Carole does is rescue these cats and gives them a sanctuary to stay, because just putting them back in the wild would almost certainly mean death. not saying that it's not kind of crooked that she profits off of them, and she is def a shady lady, but the series totally left out why she keeps the cats instead of releasing them back into the wild :)

The thing is she's doing the same thing the others are doing, she technically isn't a sanctuary cause she's opening it to the public and profeting from it, she's got tons of sponsors that's why she's rich
