DUUUUUUDDDDEEEEE, ive watched this episode like 3 times and i cried AGAIN. I genuinely feel like that end and closure for hop was PERFECT for an end for the over all show. I don't know HOW they could top this season. the clip that hurt me the most was el reading the letter and max sitting in billy's room crying. I think hopper is still alive because of the post credit scene and how they established that you could get down from the railing from that position in an earlier episode when the scoops troop were getting chased by russains. I don’t wanna be a soulless bastard but i don’t think they should bring hopper back perfectly fine. anyways, can we talk about how billy literally sacrificed his life to save el… fucking rip, he died a hero.

I just have to say, what a wonderful roller coaster of a WUW. I liked the other seasons but this is the one man. This season really pulled me in and tore out my heart. I loved Billy’s character arc in this one, truly heart-wrenching and moving, my favourite performance by far. And just what a perfect PMI/hellboy finale!

SPOILERS (but I mean if you haven't watched it yet then come on dude): When I watched this the first time I was already pretty convinced that Hopper was alive. But what I didn't notice was that they played the same song as when they pulled Will out of the lake. BUT WILL WASN'T ACTUALLY DEAD. Dude I'm even more convinced now that Hopper is still alive and that is the only reason I'm watching the next season.

Its interesting, from the majority of reviews ive seen and from what I remember from them, is that the reviewers Ive seen said they loved season 1 aka it was a B- to A+ season, one of them even said it was "Perfect", Loved season 2 except for episode 7, and was dissappottited with season 3, and the person who said season 1 was "perfect" said "stranger things should've ended after season 1" then again he said that after he found out that there would be a season 4, he metioned that before he found out that there would be a season 4, his script was more of a postive look back.

We have the toxic fanbase who love this show and everything about it, we have the people who hate it just because its insanely popular, we have the people who went in with high expectations because it was so popular but were left dissappoited, and we even have people who love season 3 more than seasons 1 and 2

the reviewers I'm talking about Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckmann, and Cosmonuet variety hour, all seemed to be dissappoited with season 3 but loved season 1 and 2 except episode 7 of season 2. While I remember Sean Chandler agreed with you guys. I know people don't like Rotten Tomatoes but for those who do for critics and audience members, season 1 is the best, most loved, and loved by the most people, season 2 has the same rating as season 3 for both critics and audience members but season 2 has more postive opinions for both critics and audience members. I know nobody cares about this stuff but I found the contrast to be interesting. I'm glad someone loved this season because on my first watch while it was my least favorite season, I still liked it . I just know that your love for season 3 while unpopular(based on the reviews I've seen) made the season 3 commentary tracks

I absolutely love how enthusiastic you both are about the show! I agree with you that the fan service moments are the worst parts of the show. Also nice pick up on that song! I never noticed. I'm both excited about and dreading the fourth season because of season 2. Season 1 was great but then the second was such a step down and then the third was a major step up. So will it be better or worse? who knows.

I rewatched the show with you guys over the last week and had so much fun. Even after 2 years I remembered the fair ground tiger scene and Hopper final lines and your reactions didn't disappoint! My ranking for the seasons go 3,1,2 but even though 2 is my least favourite it has moments that I like more than season 1. 3 is just almost perfect though, didn't think it would make me cry again but it did

Just watched the full track for the first time, July 4th, 2021. I wasn’t crazy about S3 when it first came out, just because it went in a sillier direction I wasn’t really into and my eyes weren’t opened to how great of a character Billy is. However, I had a feeling I’d come to appreciate the season more after listening to the full track, since I’d already seen the YouTube highlights. I was right. Season 3 is now my favorite of the whole show and this is now my all time favorite PMI track. Unfortunately I’m now pissed that the show is continuing, when I wasn’t before. However, I’ll maintain that S1 is still the best first-time watching experience. Anyway, this was a blast. See you in hell.

For the past week, I have been rewatching every episode from each season with these tracks in preparation for season 4! Let's go!

Just finished rewatching season 3 in preparation for the season 4 commentaries, which I will start once dinner is done. Also because I've just introduced 2 people to Stranger Things, and they are hooked, so we're watching it together when they are available for "movie nights". Gotta say though. I'm a bit confused about the version of "Heroes" that they decided to use. All the other music has been like from that time or earlier, and the Peter Gabriel version is from 2010, but maybe the other three didn't sound as good or had the wrong tempo (Bowie 77, Blondie 79, Nico 81)

So I'm still really new and didn't realize there had been drama. That totally sucks. You guys seemed like a great team. It's a shame when people get greedy. I didn't do a real deep dive, i just read about the financial accusations. Have you spoken publicly about what caused the initial split? Not to pry or dredge up old shit. I just hope hatchets have been buried. At least on a personal level if not professional.
