I'm pretty sure most fans consider this to be the best Harry Potter movie ever, and honestly it's hard to argue with that... at the very least, it's the best one SO FAR!

Oh and Eric cries a bit in this one, because of MOVIE magic.

Also in the theory of Something wicked this way comes; harry wears so much sweatshirts and normal clothing, this is probably indicative of the new wardrobe changes in the newer movies and the inclusion of more human scenes. This movie was probably just a transitional period for the upcoming changes in the new movies and they knew it. Why else would the subtitle be Something wicked this way comes, unless they are setting it up for Voldemort to come in next movie, so this one is just transitional, im sure the time turner and the window shots could be metaphors for this theory somehow.

the set going up the stairs and the room where siruis is revealed are different. look at snape for a full minute he is not in the scene with them and it looked like a painting the first time i saw it lol

Here's another theory; Lupin KNEW the spell to get rid of his greatest fear (turn the moon into a balloon), so instead of just being a fuckboy and standing there he WOULDVE acted immediately to transform his fear, even if it is the real moon he still wouldve tried. What if the dark lords greatest power is that he freezes his enemies so that they can't use spells. He does this almost always, harry in the 4th, nevilles parents for infinity, the girl narcissa kills. Voldemort likes trapping his victims just like he felt trapped at the orphanage, and how he felt trapped in Hogwarts by their rules and regulations and not letting him access greater spells. That's the reason why Harry must call upon his spirits to help him not because Harry is weak but because is literally counteracts Voldemort (if Harry was alone Voldemort would just freeze him, but with friends he can't.) Holy . shit. If you look in the background with Lupin and Peter, you can see Peter holding his left side, I bet Voldemort was in there and did 2 spells, 1 to bring up a fake moon, and 1 to freeze Lupin while the Bogart turned him into a werewolf. end of theory.

And Voldemort trapped his soul into things, always traps harry when fighting irl (but loses in the end when he cant), trapped Lily in her room (maybe he saw baby Harry trapped in the cage and for a split second had humanity which gave Lily the chance to use a spell), he traps the Death Eaters into an oath, PeterGrew, he traps the entire community into never speaking his name. So in a way the Harry Potter series is about freedom of speech and ultimately freedom, and thats why its so resoundant in the United States. Why didn't JK want it to be filmed here? Racism.

If I remember correctly, Alfonso Cuaron let all the kids wear their uniforms how they wanted in order to bring more realism to the movie, hence why so many of them look disheveled and their ties aren't tied right.

rewatching these in 2021 and being so genuinely happy with how enthused eric gets watching things, like genuinely enjoying what you're doing!! makes the experience so much better!

I think if that's a problem for you, you're just watching the wrong commentary or following the wrong channel. That's their sense of humor, this is what they do. If there's something you don't like about it, there are dozens of other Harry Potter reaction commentaries out there you can watch, many of them more PC/family friendly. They can upload whatever they want, and it's okay if not everyone likes it.
