The fucked up thing that happened to tyler actually was something the football players would do to haze the new guys. Videos got out of them doing this is the locker room with the coaches in the room. The school swept it under the rug to protect the football team. So honestly what happening to tyler isnt too far off from reality.

I think the only reason they didn't actually have Tyler shoot up the school was because they didn't want to promote an attitude of "this is what you should do if you're bullied". The show was already on thin ice from the audience with the suicide. Can't see that going down much better lol.

I've been re-watching all of these and when I got to the scene with Tyler I minimized my screen, muted it and only watched your guys reactions. I knew I wasn't going to be able to stomach it again but watching you guys scream made it easier to handle.

It also really bothers me about how they never discussed Tyler's medical implications in season 3 because he needed to go to the hospital and he never did.
