Think this is setting up to be what we thought season 2 would be about. Gun violence in the school and school shooters' mindset. They look to be moving on from Hannah to talk about other serious topics. Still some things like the pictures, pregnancy by rape, drug addiction and the whole thing with Monty are up in the air. Also, I think Clay takes the fall for Tyler and he's arrested in the opener and they have to find a way to get him out without selling out Tyler, but still dealing with it.

The Mop scene may have been over the top, but it's something that has happened to people in real life. It may seem created for shock, but I definitely sympathized with Tyler in that scene. No matter how much shit he's done, no one deserves anything remotely to that level. IMO that scene didn't come off as comical. Also the last ep has nothing to do with Hannah because they spent most of the episode letting her go. There's no reason for it to be about her now. Don't forget they're also setting up Meth Seth.

Don't you guys just love how all these characters went from hating each other in season one and being outcasts because they were the only people who'd heard Hannah's tapes, to now, where they're all friends and banding together solely because of the tapes/the previous connections they have? A complete 180 and I love it.
