Don't get us wrong, The Boys is great, but it's gotten a bit more involved and serious and we miss the fun. You know, fun! Like murdering your family! I mean, it is still The Boys after all... PLOT (via Wiki) Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair)'s hemokinesis first manifests during her period, accidentally killing her parents and straining her relationship with her sister Annabeth. Eight years later, Marie is accepted into Godolkin University for training superheroes ("supes"). She befriends her roommate Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway) and meets upperclassmen Andre Anderson (Chance Perdomo), Luke Riordan (Patrick Schwarzenegger), Jordan Li (London Thor and Derek Luh), and Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips). At a party, Marie saves a woman injured by Andre, gaining popularity but later getting expelled by Professor Brinkerhoff (Clancy Brown) to protect the upperclassmen. Marie confronts Brinkerhoff but finds him dead, killed by Luke, who then commits suicide after a rampage. Vought International covers up the deaths, and Marie gets credit for stopping Luke, becoming the first freshman in the top 10 rankings. Marie meets the university dean Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn), while Emma's classmate Justine (Maia Jae Bastidas) exposes her size-shifting powers online, leading to a confrontation. Andre and Cate investigate Luke's death, discovering a secret facility called "the Woods" run by Shetty. Andre nearly gets caught but is saved by Cate. Three years earlier, Luke and Cate calmed Luke’s brother Sam (Asa Germann) after he killed a guard. In the present, Marie and Emma reconcile after an argument. Andre convinces Emma to infiltrate the Woods, where she finds and helps Sam escape. Marie and others subdue Sam, but Marie blacks out and awakens with Jordan. Cate traps Marie, Jordan, and Andre in her mind, where they uncover troubling memories and eventually escape. Marie and Jordan gather evidence against Shetty and present it to politician Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), learning Shetty's motives are tied to a plane crash caused by Homelander. Amidst a riot incited by student protestors, Neuman convinces Marie to seek power for change. Cate kills Shetty after learning the truth about the Woods and the virus created to kill supes. As chaos erupts at the university, Marie, Jordan, and Emma try to contain it. Andre takes on the Polarity mantle to fight. Cate tries to brainwash Jordan, but Marie stops her. Homelander (Antony Starr) arrives and attacks Marie. Later, the news blames Marie, Jordan, Emma, and Andre for the violence while Sam and Cate are hailed as heroes. Marie wakes up in a sealed hospital room with Jordan, Emma, and Andre. #theboys #genv
