Hey guys,

first of all Happy New Year, I can't thank you enough for your support.

2019 was pretty successful I would say, we had two major releases with Diner for Three and Generous Donation. These also mean good workflows for future project and even collabs.

I also have easy way to add new characters for fun one-off animations (or longer stuff) with the base futa and female model.

Speaking of Generous Donation, Nyl is open to making a second one (that was always kind of the plan, but we wanted to see the numbers for the first one). Hopefully this one should be faster, since we have the environments and models figured out and don't need to spend time on story animations (and those take a lot of time).

This brings me to something I wanted to get your feedback on:

In both Diner and Donation I put great effort into breaking the usual style of transition -> loop. It always bothered me in 3d videos that I could tell where the video starts to loop and I tried to change that.

So in both Diner and Donation, each frame is unique. This added a lot of production time and especially render time, however in the end I am not sure if that's something people even want.

So my question is if that's something that's even bothering you guys? To give you an example, in Come play with Cosplay I used the old approach.

Anyway, looking forward to your feedback and once again have a great 2020 :)

I like the idea of eliminating the loop. Diner and Donation both felt like a step up from your previous work.

Having no loop is great. But i guess it depends on how much more work it adds. If the time you save by doing loops, would allow for more content overall - i would prefer that. I think the last year was great tho. 1 big animation-set without loops and many "small" ones with loops. Seems fine to me.

I like loooong animations, if loops expedite that, I'm all for it! Releasing several shorter looped episodes, that are meant to be combined, in a series would be perfect.

I'm happy to hear that you plan to make a part two. I'm in agreement with you that the repeating loop in a standalone movie is a bit annoying (but necessary I guess). I think Miro has a decent idea with the system he uses for GF4E and Bloodlust. It allows for a movie experience, while still peppering in loops, that can be skipped over or looped longer. Plus I really like that he can also include fun clips along with the movie maker feature. I really feel GD could have used more time, as well as extra views, during the growth phase at the 2 minute mark. Hope we get to see some more, as well as maybe some lifting in part 2. ^_^

I thoroughly enjoyed both Diner For 3 and Generous Donation and prefer if you keep making longer movies in that 'no loop' style.

Gregory Anderson

Not having looped animations is great. When I'm watching animations that loop, I generally skip forward to the next animation after one or two loops. Having no loops in your previous two movies let me watch them through their entirety, which is pretty rare for me since almost all other 3D works are looped.

Non looped going off the fact the generous donation was absolute heaven.

Mimikyubey

I absolutely appreciate when animators put in the effort to not use looped animations. That being said, as long as the loops are not repeated more than 3-4 times, I don't particularly mind if they are present.

I vastly prefer the non-looped style. It makes your videos much more compelling than other 3D stuff since the movements give off character and it doesn't just seem like robots going at it. IMO it raises the quality by a lot. Also happy to hear you're continuing Generous Donation, I liked that one a lot but felt like it ended when it was just getting started, so looking forward to that!

Non-looped is better quality but in the end all your shit is good either way.

System like that adds a lots of overhead and I am not sure how many people want to use it. I used something similar (much simpler) for my first two sets and I feel like it wasn't worth the hassle.

I was considering something in between, like each camera angle has unique loop that repeats couple times, but that would probably bring more hassle than it's worth
