Month two of the year in which we're finally finishing Super Lesbian Animal RPG has come and gone. So, how's our progress?

Last month, I talked about how I was working on an optional area for the game, which represents both the largest piece of side content and the last full area that needed to be made prior to the final dungeon. I'm pleased to report that, as I hoped, I'm now done with that optional area! It's 100% spoilers, but it's very cool. Just take my word for it for now. It's technically optional, but I think it's very much worth it for those who seek it out.

With that big chunk of content done, I've now returned to working on the final remaining side quests. SLARPG doesn't have a ton of those, but there's a handful that are important for story and character development purposes that I knew had to get in. On that list is something I've been planning since pretty much the start: three unique quests based on Melody's paladin specialization chosen at the start of the game!

That choice was never intended to have a huge impact on the story, but it does add a little extra context and flavor to Melody's journey (along with a couple unique abilities). These three quests found late in the game are the biggest result of the choice. None of them are huge, mind you, but they're all completely unique from each other, with their own little setpiece moments involving different supporting characters. And guess what? I'm already wrapping up work on the first one, specifically the one for Resolute Paladins, after only a week! I'm optimistic about getting the other two done quickly in this upcoming month as we rapidly approach the final act.

(And boy, I can really feel that grand finale creeping up on us. Even if I know I'd like to do more with these characters in the future, it's kind of surreal to be writing these final side quests that contain some of the last dialogue for these side characters before heading off to the final dungeon. For years now there's always been endless room to do more with these NPCs in my head, but now one by one they're completing their roles in this adventure...)

Meanwhile, Bee is continuing work on the last few must-have songs for the soundtrack. I've only heard a small snippet of the one she's working on right now, but she says it's going to be very proggy. Based on a screenshot she sent me of the time signature shifts, I believe her.

And that's it for this month! We're continuing to make good progress. We're gonna be working on the final act before you know it. As always, thanks for the continued support, and take care, everyone!
