So! With the big Acts I & II milestone out of the way and private playtesting with friends going well, what's next for us? Well, obviously, we've moved on to working on Act III! And we're already making pretty good progress on that. But Act III is aaaaalllll spoilers. Oops! Sorry. So what about stuff y'all can actually see?

Well...

  • Another developer stream! Yes, we're doing another stream! Finally!! It's been a very long time since we did that last one. This one will be open to the general public instead of being patrons only, and it'll be held on my Twitch channel. It'll either be a general SLARPG Q&A or a developer commentary on the demo. We haven't decided yet. We'll do both eventually, of course, but the first one should be sometime in the coming weeks. I'll make a formal announcement when we have a date.
  • A build-an-NPC event for patrons! I can't remember if I've mentioned this idea here before, but I've been wanting to do a series of polls to let y'all collaboratively build a new NPC for the game! You'll be able to vote on the character's species, job, gender, etc., and then we'll make a design based off of the winning results to put into the game!
  • A breakdown of the Spellbook system! Spellbooks are a core part of the combat and party building in SLARPG, but they weren't featured in the demo so as to not overwhelm new players. We've been pretty quiet about the whole system aside from Pepper's explanation in the demo, but sometime in early 2021 I'd like to make a post breaking Spellbooks down and giving examples of a few you can equip in the game.
  • And eventually... a new trailer! It has been WAY too long since we put out a trailer. The original just gets more and more outdated by the day. I'm not sure when we'll be able to put together a second trailer, so don't expect this soon, but it'll happen at some point.

So yes, even though I'm being very coy about most of the new content we've been working on, there will still be a lot of fun stuff to look forward to while we work on the back half of the game! As always, I'll keep y'all posted here and on Twitter and Tumblr.
