Waluigi isn't memeing, it's people not realizing that no, Nintendo will not halt production and delay release to remove an Assist Trophy and take a few extra weeks or months to make him playable--and this is coming from someone who's honestly pretty mad that they not only refused to make him playable again, but also rubbed salt into the wound by using him TWICE to demonstrate how you can hurt and KO certain Assists.

Waluigi is not a damn "meme character". He is a CHARACTER. Who within recent years SPAWNED memes. And has had fans wanting him in Smash LONG before those memes ever happened. Calling Waluigi a "meme character" is frankly as ignorant and dismissive of his fans as calling Undertale a "meme game". Know who WAS a meme character after awhile? Ridley. Who got in specifically BECAUSE of the "too big for Smash" meme and Sakurai wanting to someday prove it wrong.
