We hope everyone is well this winter.  As the days are getting colder and shorter, we're seeing more people getting sick.  That comes with the season, I guess.  I'm in the school office and there's maybe 7 teachers off sick.  Eep!

Anyways, let's break down what we did this month!

First off, Pandory 1.12 has been released.  It's mostly to fix issues with the 3D boxes, please check out the changelog to see what's been done.

On the YouTube side of everything, we started with a review for the RETROID Pocket 3+.  For the price, this can't be beaten and is now the handheld to beat for upscaled PSP emulation.

Then we tried "Return to Monkey Island: PIXEL Edition", and while it didn't fix an underlying problem of cheap wobble-head animation it opens up a few more doors for other games.  Honestly I'd be very interested to see how using this technique would change how emulated games can look.

Not much is as iconic as the Sega Gamegear handheld, so we tried this recreation that can house a Raspberry Pi.  Unfortunately it is a lot more expensive than other handheld devices on the market, and loses many features we can currently take for granted.  Sleep mode, and things like that.  Oh, and the D-Pad sucks.

Now that emulation handhelds that support PSP are getting more popular, it was time to explore the multiplayer component of PPSSPP.  If that feature excites you, then the guide may interest you.

We were contacted by BINBOK, and they asked us to review their joypad.  Personally I wanted to try the joycons they have on sale, but they insisted on this XBOX360 inspired controller.

Luckily it was pretty good, and it even worked on PC... And a couple of Pandora Boxes...  But the D-Pad sucks.

As we sign off, please stay warm and we wish you all have a great start to the holiday season.

We may have a pub session over the holidays, please keep an eye out on our discord for more information.

All the best,

EmuChicken & dajoho

Team Pandory
