I think they nailed the casting. I did a frame by frame and spotted Garp's ship, and Coby during the Alvida GGP scene. I'm cautiously optimistic, and am ready to go in tempering my expectations. Adapting anything is difficult let alone anime to TV. If they just gave us shot by shot matching with the anime it would be shit. An adaptation like this needs to make certain choices for the good of the venture. I think choosing to not give Sanji curly eyebrows, and Usopp a long nose were good ones. One Piece can be cheesy so I'm okay with this being cheesy too. And if the english voices bother me too much, maybe the Japanese dub will make me more comfortable lol.
