Just to point a few things out that might help explain things a little easier: Pure Titan- Those are the regular mindless titans. Titan Shifter- A human with one of the 9's powers, able to shift between human and titan. Titan Shifters are the only ones effected by "The Curse of Ymir". Curse of Ymir- Any titan shifters will die 13 years after becoming a shifter. This does not effect Pure Titans. And any inheritors who do not pass the power to another Subject of Ymir before their death will be inherited by a future Subject of Ymir child. Yes, the identity of the Beast Titan was confirmed last episode. When Historia touched Ymir's letter, she was able to see memories of Ymir's path, as a shifter. Historia could see the memories through a path because she is a direct descendant of Ymir Fritz and has royal blood.

Hello there Im here to clear up a small confusion. Zeke isn't collecting the 9 Titans. He WORKS for Marley. He's a warrior just like Reiner, Annie and Bertholdt. The reason why Reiner and friends are so desperate for Eren is because Marley wants the Fouding Titan so that it can remain as the most powerful country in the world:)

Also its interesting how the storytelling is like a mystery box where 1 thing is not openly stated and the show actually leads its watchers on a journey. Hange's question in season 1 finally answered here! She was wondering how Eren's titan appeared out of thin air and now u know its from these "paths". Its like an epiphany everytime I watch this series:)

Just some clarification about the scene with Historia and Ymir. In the manga, Ymir's backstory (from season 2) wasn't revealed until Historia read her letter (implying Ymir wrote it to historia in the letter or was just remembering it as she wrote). The anime moved these scenes around, so this "flashback" scene exists just to make it connect again.

And the two had the effects of their choices hurt others. But they are both motivated by an ideal of freedom. And Kruger convinces Grisha these sins that came from their passion must be atoned for. That the freedom that they consider their birthright comes with a duty that is antithetical to giving up. A duty to lead the vanguard, endlessly seeking freedom for the underdog, a genuine, unyielding, shingeki no kyojin Edit: Ashe' Ymir x Historia love makes me so happy xD
