No one ever gets Connie's joke😅 lol. Some houses and buildings have eaves. It's the small part of the roof where it hangs over the wall. Where bee's make nests and stuff. It was a play on words. "Eren's house is eavesdropping" = "Eren's houses eave is dropping". Still a terrible joke and Sasha did the world a favor when she hit Connie lol.

This is Fine

The funny thing is I don't see Armin as the next Erwin. I mean they are both intelligent characters but Armin doesn't have the heart or steel nerves to send his comrades let alone his friends to their deaths in order for the mission to succeed. I mean like you said the episode shows the parallel between the two characters but unlike Erwin Armin freezes under pressure and passes the burden of responsibility on the Jean. They have many similarities but they also have very glaring differences.

Fun fact: The first titan in the line where levi kills the titan to get to the beast, is actually a cameo for armins voice actor if im not wrong! Eren voice actor coming next ep as a titan too!

I always thought the shift of command to Jean was to show how Jean was a better tactical, on the fly thinker, where as Armin's genius comes from plans, ones he needs time to think through. I member in s1, Jean actually does sacrifice the lives of some nonamers and uses their deaths as an opportunity for the rest of his squad to make it to safety and to finish the mission. After that Macro attributes leadership qualities to Jean sayin that he was able to make quick, hard choices that resulted in the survival of many lives. In this epi, I feel like it was a moment where Jean got to show off a little of his Erwin qualities as well

Lol when he said 0:24 this is the best episodes he's seen so far, I was like "You're not ready for the next few episodes bro"... and as a manga reader, no one is ready for that shit! It's gonna be the Best Anime of all time after season 4 :D My opinion only though

Every time I watch this Episode, I have tears during Erwin's speech. The voice actor did a GREAT job there, if you listen closely when he yelled at the end of the speech, you have chills.

In Japanese it's a pun on Eren's name. If you listen to what he says it sounds very close to Eren Jaeger. So they had to try and put together an English pun that would fit but it seems a little out of place. I guess it works better with the natural pun.
