BOLDcast FruitsBasket S3E10 UNCUT REACTION

I always appreciate the closure argument of Yuki and Kyo. They fight and argue and Yuki punches and calls Kyo baka neko but you see that it is not like they used to. It does not come from a place of hate or pure anger, but it is more in line as a frustration of seeing someone not realizing how important they are. And they finally being able to be honest with each other is such a good payoff of how developed they were throughout those 3 seasons. They learned about themselves and matured but that makes them connect with each other. They may not agree and see things the same way but they developed to the point of understanding and respect. Akito is also learning to understand other people and started her path to her own story now. You see the start of attonement journey for her and she is starting to learn from her mistakes. She still has a long long way. I see the scene where Uo hugs her as some sort of comfort and recognition. Uo sees that Akito is a "hurt child" like she was in the past, that did awful things but is now learning to face those things and grow. She also recognizes that she does not know them (Akito and Kureno) and what drove them to that end. I always see her actions there as something that Kyoko would have done. Also, Tohru running when she saw Kyo will forever be the most unexpected yet completely expected reaction. I just love her haha

One of my favorite episodes. Does such a good job of balancing humor and drama. And the scene b/t Kyo & his dad is one of my favorites from the anime/manga.

Now that you guys have seen the Kyo-Kyo’s father scene, it’s implied that Kyo’s mother was going to commit a double suicide and take Kyo with her that day. For whatever reasons, she chose not to last minute and as a result Kyo witnessed her suicide, driven to that point from Kyo’s father. It’s almost cathartic, and gives Kyo a bit more closure and forgiveness toward himself.
