This episode is super well done. I love the development of the connection between Kyo, Tohru and Yuki throughout the story. We've seen the hat story through each of their perspectives and everytime we managed to find more details of why that is a very special and important moment for all of them. One detail that is a bit odd on the translation and the episodes' order is that it makes look like Kyo doesn't remember what happened to Kyoko and the accident but it is more like he did not want to remember that anymore. And Kyo being stuck in that moment, emotionally, is sad and shows how much he hates himself and how he still doesn't believe he is worth of love and respect since he sees himself as someone that deserves the hate as a person that sucks other people's happiness and literally cause their deaths (we know it is not true). About the accident, even though he guilts himself of not trying, he had split seconds to decide on how to act in a very dangerous situation and honestly, by the way the car was coming at their direction, he would probably not make a difference, specially if he transformed into a cat. But regardless, the fact he says she was the light of hope in her life, and he lost that first because of Yuki and then because of the accident made him really grab the idea of no hope left in his life. Also, I love how they show that Kyoko was that first glimpse of forgiveness and hope for him and then, we see Tohru being that person also. It highlights how much Tohru took her mother's life lessons and used them as well to make people feel comforted. They use the symbolism of a flower blooming multiple times as the speck of hope being reborn and Kyo directly called Tohru his precious flower back in season 2. One funny thing about Yuki going on the wrong direction in this is that in the manga they mentioned a couple times how bad he is with directions haha About the reveal, I read the manga when it was released and I remember connecting the dots of his involvement (not that he caused it but that he was connected somehow), so in the anime I already knew but I've seen a lot of people not grasping the hints presented until the moment of the revelation.

Two points: 1. Yes, there is no subject, but Japanese is very contextual. Usually, with a sentence like "yurusanai kara", it is natural to assume that she was directly talking to someone other than herself, as otherwise one would specify that they were talking about themselves. But yes, it wouldn't be grammatically incorrect 2. I didn't really figure out the Kyo was responsible for her death, but I did figure that he knew something about it and was involved in more than it seemed, and I think the average viewer had the same feeling. Some definitely figured out more of it like you did though, but I think it wasn't something that the author expected all the viewers to figure out already.
