I waited to say that the weird scene at the end of last episode, ghost Usopp on the beach, was specifically anime-only. In the manga, Usopp gets convincingly "killed" one chapter, is absent the next, and makes a sudden reappearance the third, just taking a sopping wet stroll in the village and brooding over Nami's trick as audience exhibition, before running at Zoro, etc. Usopp surviving came with Oda's signature DON written sound effect so I think it was meant to be shocking. DON and DO-DON drum sounds are also in the anime whenever something is being revealed or for dramatic effect.

I adore how Luffy's attachment to Nami is solely based on their friendship, devoid of any need for a detailed backstory or information dump. If you're friends with Luffy, that connection is for life, with no additional requirements! Regarding Zoro not disclosing Nami rescuing him, both he and Usopp shared a similar storyline—captured by the Fishmen, taken to Arlong Park, and ultimately rescued by Nami. The divergence emerges in how Usopp openly acknowledged Nami's lack of malicious intent, while Zoro chose silence, refraining from confirming or refuting any accusations. Zoro's non-response to Sanji's question conveyed a significant message. Considering Zoro's past with Kuina, who detested the notion that "women couldn't be the strongest, or that they can't stand for themselves against another man", his silent respect for Nami's refusal of help reflects his character. He refrains from engaging in the damsel-in-distress narrative unless explicitly asked, sort of saying "Fine, have it your way", a stark contrast to Sanji's approach. This moment holds particular significance as it marks the initiation of Sanji and Zoro's rivalry.

A really big difference between the live action and the anime is here Luffy leaves the conversation about Nami's backstory while in the live action he listens to it. Actually this is really important because this show you Luffy doesn't care about the past, he cares about who you are now and if you are his friend nothing else matter.

I guess zoro was lost in thought (?)

In addition to Luffy not wanting to listen to her backstory because he doesn't care about who someone was and is instead focused on who they are now. He decides not to listen immediately after Nojiko says "This will make you want to leave the island", he is already firm in his resolve to get Nami back and he doesn't want anything to cause him to doubt himself. Just like Zeff said in his fight vs Don Krieg one of Luffy's greatest strengths is his unwavering confidence in himself. Speaking to Zoro not immediately speaking up regarding Nami killing Usopp, Zoro said that he wasn't sure what she would do because he thought that when he made her save him she may have gotten angry. That's part of why he was so worried when he heard that Usopp was caught because he thought Nami may not bail Usopp out like she bailed Zoro out. Zoro isn't as emotionally perceptive as some of the other characters and he also isn't the guy to correct something unless he knows for certain that hes right. At this point he probably doesn't have as good a read on Nami as Luffy does so hes not interjecting with info that could be wrong.

Wtf why did I never see this upload bruuuh Patreon really has the most ass layout I swear SUPER KEEN for the next uploads. Praying to the Heavens you upload 35-37 Sanji getting mad at Zoro randomly over "Nami's chest size" or whatever was likely lost in translation. I imagine what Zoro said sounded very similar to what Sanji thought he heard or something like that
