To answer Lindsay question yes Isayama planned everything except for the ending. He admitted he knew how his story would go but he changed the ending multiple times.

You're confusing Karl Fritz with the Eldian King from Ymir's time. Karl Fritz was the first King of the Walls, and he's the one who made the Vow renouncing war. Also, Mikasa is 100% an Eldian. We've seen Mikasa have that Titan neural lightning or whatever it is when she stabbed the kidnapper. Rod Reiss never said to Kenny that he could't turn into a Titan, he was remarking on the fact that unless you have Royal blood you can't fully wield the powers of the Founding. not to mention that Kenny was contemplating turning himself into a Titan before Levi found him. I've never read the manga, so maybe it says that in there, but not the anime.
