It is an isekai The only non-isekai fantasy anime I can think of are Made in Abyss, Goblin Slayer and Berserk. There are probably more that I can't think of.

Maybe that's one of the reasons I like berserk so much. It's kind of sad that we don't get more actual Fantatsy stories in anime. Theres definitely a call for it, but maybe its because producers think that having a more relatable protagonist gives a series a higher chance of success?
