Our cat almost died (Patreon)

This sounds like a joke or excuse but one of our cats, Bryden (the boy), was lethargic and acting weird yeaterday.

We knew something was wrong and suspected it might be a urinary blockage.

At 1am last night we rushed him to the vet hospital, and the vet said his bladder was much larger than normal. Turns out we were correct about the urinary blockage.

For those who don’t know, if a cat has a urinary blockage (almost always happens to boy cats), they can literally die of kidney or liver damage In as little as 48 hours (some cats 2-3 days), and even if they survive, there can be permanent damage to organs.

So we left him there overnight. They said that they would need to put him under anesthesia and do some surgery to clear the blockage and make sure there was no other damage. For those who also don’t know, putting cats under anesthesia has its own set of risks, including heart attack and brain damage.

It was a fucking scary night yall. But thanks to all of your support from one peice and the success of the channel, we have enough money to pay whatever vet bills come our way. We’re incredibly thankful for this, since most people wouldn’t be in a position to pay for their pet’s emergency treatment. So thank you all.

We stayed up until the surgery was done. The vet said that he did great! Because we work from home and are with him all the time, it seems like we caught the issue before most people would, so he’s doing very well. He is scared, and he’s still at the vet now, but we saw him today and he seems to be doing good. We’ll be able to pick him up tomorrow.

So for everyone who’s been waiting on videos and stuff, now you know why it’s taking us so long.

We’re feeling better after knowing he’s ok, so we’re gonna try to do some recording later tonight, but if they don’t come until tomorrow, then I hope you guys can understand and be patient just a little bit longer.

Again we’re incredibly thankful for everything you guys have given us, because if this happened a year ago, we might not have been in such a comfortable place to take care of this situation. So thank you all so much.
