Hello Orcs!

We hope you had a merry Christmas party, and all is going well on your end this holiday season!

For my part, I took advantage of these few days to take a break from Robin Morningwood's production to start working on the content for our next game demo: Dungeon Pal. I did a lot of R&D, graphics testing and worked on the gameplay loop.

Things that have changed

The core of the game had to be the creation of a village and its layout, like in Animal crossing, Littlewood, and a lot of games that are coming out right now ... And we gave that idea away completely. On the contrary, you will have to travel around the world, like in a more classic RPG. Increasing affinity with the characters you encounter on your journey will be accomplished by completing side quests. We also kept the crafting features, which will allow you to upgrade your equipment and help some villagers.

Pre-production and graphic tests

Initially we wanted to make the main character customizable:

After a few tests, I realized that it was going to be very complicated for the animations

Let me explain: I was planning to do only hotscene where we do not see the main character, or only his hand, his penis, his tongue, his buttocks but never his head (Except in a frame, as in some scenes from Robin Morningwood Adventure). But I realized that it was going to be blocking for a lot of things, and that the framing of the hot scenes would quickly look the same… We then decided to keep the basis of the original design of the main character. On the other hand, you will be able to modify his skin color and hair color / body hair color.

Pixel Perfect to Vector

There will be 2 styles of characters: A Chibi style for the dungeon parts and a more "realistic" (still very cartoony) for the dialogues and scenes.

I was able to start working on the style of the game in general, a lot has changed there as well. I have also started to draw the characters, but I will wait until I have cleaner pictures to present them to you.

The pixel perfect would have been very time consuming and I took no pleasure in creating in this art style. I also would like to leave the Robin Morningwood pixel style for this game, and draw with cleaner lines. Anyway, all that to say that even though I'm going to have to go back to Robin Morningwood's production, I have some pretty specific ideas for Dungeon Pal, and I can't wait to start production!

Happy New Year everyone!

We also take this news to wish you all a happy new year 2022!

We thank you very much for your support all this time, without you the game would probably not be in the state it is now, so a huge thank you is in order.

See you soon !
