I really liked how you remembered Michael fought in WW2. Not everyone out came the same, and that's why Michael was colder, more hard than his father, even respecting Vito grew up from nothing.

ofcourse. after watching so many war based movies haha and series. we cannot neglect them, good or bad ^_^

I love the contrast between Michael and Vito in Godfather 2. I don't think Michael really had much of a choice in the escalating violence after Vito's passing. Vito basically created the situation where violence escalated to the point of war between the families. Micheal had to figure a way to make the family safe again. The family Michael inherited was much different than the family Vito started. Vito never had to make the difficult choices Michael had to make and he also had the benefit of having a supportive and traditional non-feminist wife. Abortion to a Catholic is an unforgivable sin and would be something that Michael's mother would've never considered. The people Michael had killed were basically all in the mob life, but the life Kay took was one of innocence and her reasons were selfish imo. She may not want that lifestyle for herself or children, but aborting a child without the consent of the father, is plain evil. Considering it was her own flesh and blood. It seems worse than Fredo's murder, since Fredo had put them all in mortal danger. Very few hold Kay responsible for the death of her own son.

not far from the truth. i think Michael really wanted to marry the girl from Sicily... but bcuz she died in the attempt of killing them both.. he was in a way selfish for trying to take Kay for himself.. remember that she tried to oppose that.. but he insisted by saying ''i will take care of you, and things will be different'' but ofcourse he couldn't get away from his Family... now Kay was ''fished'' inside without really knowing everything.. and when things got out of the hand, Michael expected her to behave like an Italian women.. but she wasn't... and i think he was angry at her for trying to changing when it was too late... Kay did wrong too no doubt.. but Michael couldn't punish her or see her worst than his Brother.. bcuz she a victim too... if he married his own kind things could go differently.. in an Italian family, daughters behaves accordingly due to their fathers mainly not their husbands.. they don't want to dishonor their fathers.. but Kay has no such roots.. bcuz American roots are interracial or lost.. after all Michael really loved his family.. but couldn't be what he really wanted to be.. a normal person.. he was dragged into the family without his will mainly.. the only bad thing he did in the beginning was killing those 2 in that bar.. but was out of pure hatred.. in 3 we see why Michael really regrets tough... respected and feared by many.. but loved by few..

You both missed out on so much of the story during the Italian parts in the beginning. There is supposed to be subtitles during those parts.
